Established in 1991, Seven Star Sports is a privately owned Ontario registered company in Canada. In the early 90's after researching the sporting good industry, the founders of the company turned thier attention to health and fitness. Due to the rapid growth of this market, accidents relating to sports also sharply increased.

After this research Seven Star Sports commenced R&D to develop a new line of safety helmets for the cycling and inline skating industry. Early 1994 seen the design and completion of 4 helmet lines that had been developed. All the regulatory approvals CSA, ANSI and ASTM have been received and commercial production commenced February 1995. The rest is history. The company was now a 100% dedicated to manufacturing & distribution of helmets. Subsequently other lines were added such as sports gloves, protective wear, ball items (soccer balls, basketballs, footballs) and skateboards. We have been at the forefront of new products.

Being at the forefront of new products allowed us to introduce the folding push scooter back in 1999. From there we introduced motorized electric scooters. We introduced a mini e-scooter (motorized folding scooter). From there we launched a full size E-Scooter with a seat, horn, pedals. Then naturally from there we launched out our E-Bike. A full size motorized and battery operated bicycle.

  • Safety Tips - Helmets
  • "AVOID THE PAIN - PROTECT YOUR BRAIN! - DON'T HIT THE ROAD WITHOUT ONE!"
  • Statistics show that 85 % of all head injuries related to cycling can be PREVENTED by wearing a helmet. Also more and more Provinces, States and other countries have laws making it mandatory to wear a helmet when cycling. All helmets offered meet CPSC (Consumer Products Safety Commission -USA) standards. Tips: ● Inspect your helmet regularly for signs of wear or damage. ● Exercise care and good judgment whenever you use helmet. ● Don't wear a helmet that's been in an accident. ● Don't wear someone else's helmet or lend your helmet out. ● Don't wear anything hard or sharp under your helmet. ● Don't take unnecessary risks just because you're wearing a helmet. ● Helmets have a limited life span of use (3 to 5 years)!

  • Safety Tips - Scooters
  • Safe scooter riding: Why are children vulnerable to injuries while riding a scooter? The contributing factors associated with injury while riding a scooter include children riding on road ways, uneven ground, inability to avoid obstacles and performing risky manoeuvres. See more at: http://www.parachutecanada.org Advice from the American College of Emergency Physicians is that your child wear a helmet whenever riding a scooter. Helmets reduce the risk of head injury by as much as 85 percent. Children have enjoyed foot-propelled scooters for decades, and today's scooters-with their sleek designs and fast wheels-have made a comeback in popularity. But these so-called toys are not as harmless as they may seem. "Today's scooters go very fast, so the possibility of a child losing control greatly increases," said Greg Walker, M.D., of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). "Any sort of device that puts children on wheels and allows them to move quickly sets them up for injury." Each year, thousands of children under age 15 are rushed to the emergency department with scooter-related injuries and the numbers are on the rise. The good news is that the majority of these injuries are preventable if safety measures are followed. ACEP provides the following tips on scooter safety to help prevent serious injury to your child: www.emergencycareforyou.org

  • Safety Tips - Bike Safety
  • Sizing your bike: Whether you're choosing a touring, sport, mountain or a hybrid bicycle, it should fit properly making it easy to control, comfortable to ride and not hurt your knees when pedaling. Check these important fitting points on your bicycle. Frame Size - You should be able to stand flat-footed over your bike's frame (top tube) without your crotch touching it, between 2 to 5 centimeters of space. For a woman's frame bike, sit on the seat. The base of the seat should be at least 5 centimeters above the seat tube when the tips of both feet touch the ground. Seat and Handlebar Height Adjustment - When you sit on the seat with your heels on the pedals, your legs should be almost straight at the bottom of the stroke of the pedal stroke. In a normal riding position your weight should be evenly balanced, allowing you to rest your hands lightly on the handlebars. Your handlebar stem and seat post must be at least 5 centimeters into the frame. Both usually have a mark that indicates the maximum extension point. Longer seat posts and stems are available if you need them. Always carry a quality bicycle lock when riding and always lock your bike to something solid, even if you are going to leave it for a second. ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET!
